Last night was pretty good, considering the Stranger Things collab. I thought it was so good overall. The set up as perfect, although I would have loved to see some of the cast there at ring side. We’ve got a lot to talk about, so let’s get into it.
Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky vs. Kabuki Warriors
This match was pretty damn good overall. I enjoyed it very much, and you could for sure see and feel the importance of this match. All women worked very well together.. and in the end… we got NEW Women’s Tag Team Champs! Iyo and Rhea got the win, in a shocking turn of events. Who would have thought! But now the question is… who will be next? Are we finally going to see Liv/Rox and Rhea/Iyo? Because that would be pretty damn good! I can see a Mania match coming? But I also feel it would be sooner than that.
Gunther Promo
I love Gunther right now, but really feel this could have been done just backstage. Something just felt off about it, and having AJ come out.. was even worse. However, we do know now that the match is set. But.. we also know that it won’t be the only match these two have. Multiple matches… leading up to Mania? Most likely.
Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Maxxine Dupri vs. Becky Lynch
Alright.. I’ll be that person. I hated it. I hate that Maxxine had a short run with the IC title. I hate that Becky won it again, after winning in a cheating manner. I hate this personality that Becky now has.. it’s frustrating and to be honest, very overwhelming. Now.. this comes from someone who loves Becky overall. She does amazing, but this just isn’t it for me. I was hoping we had AJ Lee come in, but maybe next week? We can only hope, because this whole situation with the IC title is messy.
**Stephanie Vaquer: We had a little promo from Stephanie, and we noticed she is in a boot. I am taking this as part of the story because the way Raquel attacked her.. if she was really injured, that wouldn’t be happening. I am very confused as to where they are going with this. Raquel has lost the matches for the title multiple times now, so are they going to pull the trigger… resulting in a match with Liv? Or are they going to string her along once again? This is very interesting and frustrating at the same time.
**Usos Promo: Again.. something that could have been done backstage. And please for the love of God take some of the tag teams from Smackdown and put them on Raw. I would LOVE to see MCMG vs Usos like right now.
Lyra Valkyria vs. Liv Morgan
The match was pretty good, as this is Liv’s first match back (on TV) since her injury back in June. We saw Roxanne and Bayley get involved.. but in the end Liv did get the win. It appears the Bayley split personality angle is back, and I am loving this for her.
World Heavyweight Championship Match: CM Punk vs. Bron Breakker
The match was pretty damn good overall. Punk and Breakker work amazing together and of course this really sealed that Bron is made for big things in WWE. I hated that we STILL got the interference’s, but I can understand it within the story line. I still wish it was just simple match.. no run in situations. In the end, Punk got the pin and win.
Overall: 8.5/10

**NO Chris Jericho as some rumors went around. BUT.. the signs were there throughout the night. Do we still think he is coming? Or was that a way to fuel the rumors and the ratings?
You can tell it is almost Mania season, due to all the changes… the title outlook has changed a little. This will also go into Smackdown this week, as we have more titles up for grabs. We also have Saturday Night Main Event.. and the week after is the Royal Rumble. I have a feeling big things are just getting started.

Royal Rumble NEWS: Sadly, this year I will NOT be LIVE tweeting the Royal Rumble. It is coming on during a time I’ll be taking care of my child, and working… it will be taking a back seat. I will however be tweeting late afternoon/evening my thoughts and surprises along the way. Depending, I might NOT have a video recap on this, due to avoid spoilers and being so late watching.
