Interview: Introducing Kat

For a while now, I have been going back and forth with the thought of doing more interviews. But.. who? After making multiple posts, polls, and good thought.. it was decided that interviewing fellow wrestling fans would be the best. I LOVE good conversation about wrestling, and why not go from every angle.

Over the last couple of months, I have been blessed with finding the Wyatt Sicks Firefly community. Here, I have found the wonderful community of friendship, support, and of course the love of Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Sicks. This is where our first interviews come from. Meet.. Kat. Also known as dirrtymonsterr on Twitter! Let’s get into it!

Thank you so much Kat for coming on the blog, if you don’t mind.. tell me a little about yourself.

Kat: I’m Kat and I’ve been watching wrestling off and on my whole life. I basically grew up in a wrestling loving household and remember watching and falling in love with Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Edge, etc. I started watching from my toddler years in the early 2000s, but stopped around 2014. I recently came back to watching during Wrestlemania 40 and have been hooked again ever since.

Chels: Ahh! Some of my first wrestling loves. I was in the same situation as well. I watched in the late 90s, and early 2000s but stopped around 2010-2012. Started watching again in 2017.

Chels: Since following you, I’ve seen you are a big fan of Nikki Cross and Wyatt Sicks. What attracted you to liking them?

Kat: I grew up loving Undertaker and his more mysterious, somewhat supernatural gimmick. When I came back to watching, the Wyatt Sicks were doing their teasers and I was instantly hooked. Their debut brought back the love for wrestling I had lost for so long. I am a big fan of the character work that goes into them, the storytelling they use for their feuds and the overall appearance of the faction.

Chels: What is your favorite PLE/PPV, and why?

Kat: My favorite event has to be All In: Texas as it was the first major event I got to go see in person. The card was stacked, the crowd was very live, and it was my first time experiencing a non WWE event.

Chels: While this is a little controversial, right now… what is your favorite wrestling promotion? AEW or WWE

Kat: At the moment, AEW is my favorite promotion. I first gave them a chance this past year and I’ve been hooked ever since. Their events always deliver and their roster is so unique to me.

Chels: With that being said, who is your favorite wrestler in AEW?

Kat: My favorite AEW wrestler is Toni Storm. She is the reason I decided to even look into watching the company. I love her character work, her title reign was really fun to watch, and she’s amazing at interacting with and putting over other stars.

Chels: With the New Year, what are your dream matches, and storylines you are hoping for? For both AEW and WWE

Kat: For AEW, my biggest thing is just wanting to see a Jamie Hayter heel turn. I think it would be really fun for her character and give her a little more purpose than she has had recently. For WWE, it would be really nice to see some sort of story with Alexa Bliss joining the Wyatts. If not that, I’d also love to see the Wyatt Sicks feud with the Judgement Day.

Chels: Outside of wrestling, what is something you’d want everyone to know about you? Hobbies? Favorite music? Movies?

Kat: I love making art and thanks to wrestling, I’ve had a reason to do it more. I really enjoy drawing things inspired by my interests. I’m also really big into music/going to concerts, especially rock bands, and it’s really cool to me that my music is also connected to wrestling with bands like Motionless in White and Halestorm both being involved at some point.

Chels: Kat, thank you so much for being on the blog today and answering all my questions. Your insight is so refreshing, and it’s nice to hear from someone who has such interest in both AEW and WWE!
