We are finally heading into TWO major weeks in wrestling. This weekend, we will have Saturday Night Main Event and next week is the Royal Rumble.. which will kick off the Road to Wrestlemania! I have a feeling this is going to be WILD, so hold on to your rear end. We’ve got a lot to talk about, so let’s get into it!
-Kicking off Raw: Gunther
I love it, but don’t at the same time. I love that we are getting more of AJ Styles and Gunther.. But I don’t love that we are getting Gunther as the next “legend killer”. Personally, I don’t think that AJ Styles should retire at the Royal Rumble.. I think it should be at Mania, but that is just me. Things will for sure be interesting moving into next Saturday.
-Becky Lynch vs. Maxxine Dupri (for the IC title)
These two can put on a dang show. I love how they work so well together, but this ending KILLED ME. I KNEW something was up as soon as Nattie went out with Maxxine. But I didn’t expect it to go down the way it did. I fully thought that Maxxine was going to win, and then have a big feud with Nattie going into Mania. That still might be the deal, just without a title. Becky retained.. but does this finally mean we are getting AJ Lee returning to take the title?
-The Vision vs. Rey Mysterio, Penta and Dragon Lee
I hate to say it.. but here I am already getting sick of The Vision. Give me a better story than the deal with Rey, Penta, and Dragon Lee… because I am BURNT. BUT.. was is wild is Adam Pearce getting involved. What is happening here? What in the works? Let’s not forget the phone call that Adam received. Thoughts?
-Rhea/Iyo — Liv/Raquel/Rox
Okay.. what is happening.. Obviously we are getting this big match at Saturday Night Main Event this weekend, but the question is, what is the outcome? Are we getting NEW tag team champs? Or are we seeing a major turn in the story? Liv turning on Rox.. or Rox turning on Liv? Could we even see Raquel getting in on the turn itself… I am pretty pumped to see what is planned, because something just doesn’t feel right.
-El Grande Americano vs Je’Von Evans
This match was great, until it wasn’t. It was in a wild turn of events that Evans was seemingly injured, and could not move forward in the match. It was also reported later on that Evans was okay overall. Rumors circulating on Twitter suspected a concussion, but I haven’t seen anything confirmed.
-CM Punk vs. Finn Balor
LOVED this match. LOVED Finn’s entrance… Overall I loved this. I was pretty shocked that no one else was involved. It was a clean cut match, and Punk retained. Now the question is.. where does Finn go from here? Do we see a complete change from what there was? Does Finn go on to win the Rumble? I’m not against it to be honest.. it would actually be a major change to what is expected.
Overall: 8.6/10

I’ve talked about this on Twitter.. but hear me out. I’m so sick of hearing about the Rumble needing to build more hype and story. It’s the Rumble.. you are kicking off a NEW season, ready to make BIG moves. Stories are being build as we speak going into Mania season. What ever happened to letting the Rumble being a surprise? I don’t need to know half the damn entrances, that’s the whole point.. the shock of it all. The shock of who comes out, who is eliminated.. who wins. Not to mention the stories made IN the Rumble itself.
REMINDER: I WILL be LIVE tweeting SNME this weekend.. AS LONG as the snow storm coming doesn’t knock out our power. And.. on the other hand, I will NOT be LIVE tweeting the Royal Rumble. This is due to it coming on (my time) right around work time and my child’s nap time. Those two things come first, so you’ll have a late reaction tweet that late afternoon/evening.
